About Us

Basketwerks is located north of Davenport, Iowa (which is on the Mississippi River). The family owned and operated business has been open since 1984. Tracy Welch (left) is the owner and founder of Basketwerks. She weaves baskets, teaches basketry, and makes all her own stains from natural sources. In 1993, the wholesale branch of Basketwerks was born and is operated by her husband Jim. It is now one of the largests suppliers of basket weaving materials in the midwest United States. Quality product, explicit service, and a wide selection is what makes the business stand out from the rest.

That friendly voice you hear on the other end of the line when placing your orders is Jim, Tracy's husband and founder of the wholesale branch of Basketwerks.
